National manufacturer Crystal Window & Door Systems has begun supplying new energy efficient replacement windows for the well-known Long Island Marriott in Uniondale, NY.
The major window replacement project’s first phase calls for the installation of over 2,700 aluminum windows in two guest room wings of the 11-story hotel.
The window replacement project is part of a planned $25 million renovation which also includes the hotel lobby, bar and other interior areas.
Located at 101 James Doolittle Boulevard, the hotel lies directly adjacent to the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum arena, former home to the New York Islanders hockey team and venue for many music concerts and major entertainment events over the years. With 618 guest rooms, the hotel is the largest on Long Island.
Crystal assisted the hotel’s design and construction team throughout the process. “Prior to being awarded the window contract, Crystal sales and engineering staff worked closely with the project construction managers, fenestration contractor, hotel owners and Marriott corporate officials to value engineer the window replacement project,” said Robert Dorsky, Crystal’s Long Island Sales Manager.
