Joseph Moshé opened the new Bronx outpost off his Charles Rutenberg Realty with a ribbon cutting ceremony attended by local dignatories and company agents.
“The main objective in opening the new Bronx office is to help all local Bronx Real Estate Agents further their earning potential,” said Moshé, broker/owner of Charles Rutenberg Realty.
“We also want to increase our presence in the borough and provide a service to the community that will enable local residents to achieve their housing goals. We know this office will be instrumental in these endeavors.
“With the housing market back on an upward trend, we know that our agents will be successful in this region and we look forward to all of the opportunities they have in store.”
The new location at 2024 Williamsbridge Road will serve as home base for more than 30 Charles Rutenberg agents, a number which is expected to double by the first quarter of 2017.
Currently, some 2,200 agents are working in the Bronx market as it continues to rise.
Home sales are enjoying their largest gains in years, with sales surging 35 percent in sales over 12 months, according to a report by the Real Estate Board of New York.
The boroughs’ median prices are more than half of those in Manhattan and Brooklyn with median sales prices at $363,000 in the last quarter.
In the past several months, a number of brokerage firms have opened Bronx offices, with Better Homes and Gardens Rand Realty joining Halstead, Douglas Elliman and Exit Realty as the major operators.
“With years of experience conducting business in the Bronx area, this new location will grow our market share throughout the borough,” said Deborah DiMiceli, Branch Manager of Better Homes and Gardens Randy Realty’s new Bronx office on East Tremont Avenue in Throgs Neck.
